Manchester United’s 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in front of over 109,000 was a record breaking attendance for USA and was proof of the growing fanbase for football in America.
For the players, it must have been a fantastic occasion to be involved with even if it was only a friendly.
There are no European stadiums that can hold as many people as the University of Michigan stadium, not even the Camp Nou, so it is potentially the biggest crowd they’ll ever play in front of.
So, it’s no surprise to see how ecstatic the squad was after the victory and going into the Liverpool game on Monday, there is a real growing sense of confidence flowing back through the team again.
