Van Gaal sent Marcel Bout back to train the World Cup duo alongside Nicky Butt in a ‘special group’ of players after an extended holiday following their participation in the World Cup with Belgium.
Unlike Robin van Persie, who Van Gaal confirmed wouldn’t be fit in time for Swansea, Januzaj and Fellaini have a chance of making the game.
“I sent Marcel Bout back to train them [Januzaj, Fellaini] with Nicky Butt in a special group. They could reach the first match,” Van Gaal told reporters.
Fans are excited to see what the duo can do under the guidance of Van Gaal, particularly Januzaj who could flourish under the Dutchman.
Ashley Young was a player whose United career many already considered to be finished but he has been nothing short of a revelation on tour which is what fills fans with confidence that Januzaj will be able to fulfil his potential, while Fellaini may be given another chance to shine.
Both players face an uphill challenge already as they were unable to be part of this tour where Van Gaal would have developed an initial bond with some players, but it’s not something they can’t build themselves upon the squad’s return to Manchester
