David de Gea 6.5 – Made a great save to stop Phillipe Coutinho with a reflex dive in the first half. Unfortunate to go the wrong way with Steven Gerrard penalty. Distribution was a bit lacking.
Phil Jones 6.5 – Clumsy tackle from Jones to give away the penalty. Didn’t look completely comfortable from thereon in but made some adjustments.
Chris Smalling 7 – Doing very well from himself at the moment. Has the pace to recover if necessary.
Jonny Evans 7 – Certainly not his best performance on tour but did well to empty one more bowl.
Antonio Valencia n/a – Injured unfortunately.
Ashley Young 8 – Once again, Young put in a very impressive performance. Fantastic from the born again winger. He may well have revived his United’s career on this tour.
Ander Herrera 7 – It’s a measure of the Spaniard that he can have an off day and still look decent for United.
Darren Fletcher 6 – The tour finally caught up with Fletcher and so many 90 minutes on tour must have contributed to that.
Juan Mata 8 – Another glorious performance from the Spaniard. They’re becoming two a penny these days.
Wayne Rooney 7 – Rooney was questionably named Man of the Match after the full-time whistle but did play well, scoring for United.
Javier Hernandez 6 – The confidence of Hernandez looks absolutely shot to pieces. Needs to move away for himself.
Shinji Kagawa 6.5 – Started to show some real promise towards the end of the tour.
Luke Shaw 7 – Shaw showed great pace and energy to provide an attacking outlet down the left flank.
Tyler Blackett 6.5 – Another controlled yet aggressive performance from Blackett.
Tom Cleverley 6 – Decent enough from Tom, nothing to write home about.
Nani 5 – Nani was terrible, there’s no two way about it. Needs to leave United.
Jesse Lingard 7 – Jesse stormed the last tour and he’ll be hoping his strong performances on this tour when given the minutes will convince Van Gaal to include him in the squad for Swansea.
