Javier Hernandez’s agent hasn’t spoken with anyone in England about being involved in a swap deal with Juventus for Arturo Vidal but has said there should be news soon.
The Mexican’s future at United is far from secure as he is unlikely to feature from the start very often under Louis van Gaal this season and following a poor campaign with United, Hernandez struggled to find his form at the World Cup as well.
At 26, Hernandez is coming into his prime years as a footballer and while his agent wouldn’t confirm any deal was in place, his coy comments are indicative of his uncertain future at the club.
“For now I cannot comment on the situation,” Eduardo Hernandez told reporters in South America.
“I have no news at the moment on an exchange, I haven’t spoken to anyone in England, but there will be news soon.”
United’s pursuit of Vidal has rumbled on since the start of July and currently looks no closer to being concluded. Swap deals are rarely completed in modern football as clubs prefer cash only deals but Juventus would be a great move for Hernandez, even though he could face a similar situation with game time in Turin.
