Arturo Vidal has left the door firmly open for a move to Manchester United by choosing to let speculation continue about his future.
Vidal’s future has been subject to intense media coverage since the World Cup as he has been linked with a move to United.
Speaking to reporters today, the Chilean midfielder had the opportunity to pledge his future to Juventus and put to bed the constant rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford, but instead chose to leave an open ended comment to let them continue.
“My future? My future is to train well,” he said.
That comment is indicative of Vidal’s current situation with Juventus. He isn’t prepared to force a move in the same fashion as Marcos Rojo is with Sporting Lisbon but equally so, he refuses to quash the possibility of a move with ambiguous statements.
Vidal wants to keep the option of joining United open, otherwise he would have closed the door on a move by stating he wanted to stay with Juventus.
Juventus boss Allegri has reiterated on multiple occasions that Vidal will not leave the club this summer but as the Chilean refuses to pledge his future to the club, there is certainly no guarantee he will be a Juventus player come the start of September.
