Juventus have repeated their stance that Arturo Vidal will not leave the Serie A side this summer.
Juventus CEO Guiseppe Marotta has been speaking to the media today to give the latest update on Vidal’s future and is insistent the Chilean midfielder is staying in Turin.
Vidal is not in Juventus’ match day squad today but Marotta has allayed worries it is because of his knee injury.
“Vidal is fine, he resumed working and the knee is fully functional,” Marotta said.
“He’s at disposal of the team. There have been the usual rumours about him, but he has never been put on the transfer market and there has never been a negotiation. These are the usual commonplaces created by the media that have no real confirmations.”
United and Vidal has been a saga that has rumbled on all summer with very little official word from Juventus or United.
Now, with less than two weeks left in the transfer window, Juventus are still adamant Vidal will not be going anywhere and with so little time left, it would take something very special for United to sign him at this late stage.
