Marcos Rojo has today trained with his new Manchester United team-mates for the very first time.
United unveiled Rojo yesterday after the Argentinian completed a £16m move from Sporting Lisbon and the 24-year-old has wasted no time in getting involved in training.
Louis van Gaal will be keen to put Rojo through his paces to ensure he is fully match fit ahead of United’s trip to Sunderland this weekend.
Rojo will go into United’s match day squad and could feature at the weekend away to Sunderland if Van Gaal feels he is ready to thrown straight into the deep end.
With Luke Shaw injured, Rojo’s ability to play at left-back will be a welcome reprieve for Van Gaal and the fact he is more than comfortable playing at centre-back means his versatility will make him a very valuable member of the squad.
