After Manchester United confirmed the imminent arrival of Netherlands international Daley Blind, a couple of his former colleagues from Ajax were quick to congratulate him on his move to the Premier League.
Edwin van der Sar tried to console United fans after the disappointing 0-0 draw with Burnley with his congratulations for Blind whilst the joint account of Frank and Ronald de Boer congratulated the midfielder on his move and thanked him for his contributions to their four successive Eredivisie titles.
Having won four consecutive titles with Ajax, Blind is now ready to make the step up to the plate.
Blind will become Manchester United fifth signing of the summer once he completes a medical in Manchester over the weekend.

As well as some old players and coaches congratulating Daley, his father Danny admitted it was a very proud moment for him to see his son join United.
Daley Blind's father, Danny: "If your child moves to one of the biggest clubs in the world – & Utd are the biggest club – you're v. proud."

Danny was captain of Louis van Gaal‘s 1995 Champions League winning side and part of his Holland back-room staff, so it’s great that the Blind family has such strong links to Van Gaal already.
Daley is expected to complete his medical today and could also be announced as a United player.
