Following an impressive start to the season, Joshua Harrop’s form has been rewarded with a call-up to the England Under-20’s squad.
Aidy Boothroyd, who is taking charge of his first game at this age level, has added Harrop into his first squad for their upcoming fixture against Romania on 5 September.
Surprisingly, this is the 18-year-old’s first involvement at international level and it is certainly deserved off the back of making some fantastic progress.
This season, Harrop in his United Under-21s debut and was also singled out for praise following his performance in United’s Manchester Senior Cup triumph over City, so this call-up is the latest milestone for Harrop in what has been a strong season so far.
Harrop will join up with United striker James Wilson who is making the step up from England’s Under-19s side and Ben Pearson, who has been called up to the squad as well
