David de Gea will make his first start for Spain tonight in their international friendly against France.
Vicente Del Bosque has chosen to reward De Gea for his excellent progress over the past two years and following on from being part of the Spain squad that went to the World Cup, De Gea is now in contention to become Spain’s first choice goalkeeper.
It is a deserved reward for De Gea because he has consistently improved since arriving at Manchester United and is now considered one of the best young goalkeepers in the world.
Here is Spain’s full starting XI: De Gea; Carvajal, Ramos, Mikel San Jose, Azpilicueta; Busquets, Raul Garcia, Koke, Fábregas, Cazorla; Diego Costa.
De Gea’s career is currently going from strength to strength and at just 23, he still has the majority of it ahead of him.
