Radamel Falcao is in contention to make his Manchester United debut against QPR this weekend.
The 28-year-old has been away on international duty with Colombia but will return to Carrington later this week to meet his new United team-mates and Louis van Gaal for the first time.
Falcao made a cameo appearance against Brazil in Colombia’s friendly earlier this week and feels ready to make his debut at Old Trafford.
“I am now leaving Colombia in very good shape and I hope to be available for the manager for this weekend,” Falcao was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.
“I am going to Manchester with lots of hopes to try to win a place in the team and then come back to play for Colombia.”
United fans are really excited to see Falcao in action because if he can replicate the sort of form that made him one of the world’s best strikers, he will be lethal in the Premier League.
Whether or not that will come straight away or in the course of time remains to be seen but so long as he doesn’t suffer an injury this week, Falcao looks ready to play against QPR.
