Blind helped give Holland the lead as his cross was headed in by Stefan de Vrij but an injury-time headed back pass from Daryl Janmaat led to a last gasp winner for Czech Republic to give Holland the worst possible start to their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
On the night, it once again showed that Van Persie was lacking match sharpness and the 31-year-old accepted Holland didn’t do enough with the chances they had.
Speaking after the game, Van Persie said: “We had a lot of the ball, but we didn’t do much good with it. What do we need to change? We need to win next time.”

Both Blind and Van Persie will now return to Carrington for a few days training ahead of United’s clash against QPR this weekend and both are in contention to start on Sunday.
