Marcus Rojo – It is time for the Argentine’s debut.
Tyler Blackett – If Van Gaal sticks with a back three then Blackett will start again.
Antonio Valencia – Despite Rafael’s return to training, Valencia will probably continue at right-back.
Daley Blind – United’s new defensive midfielder should take over the reigns from Darren Fletcher in the centre of the pitch on Sunday.
Angel di Maria – United’s record signing is expected to start again in central midfield against QPR.
Luke Shaw – A return to fitness for Shaw, combined with other injuries, mean the young Englishman is set to make his United league debut.
Juan Mata – Despite the signing of Falcao, the exits of Shinji Kagawa, Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez means Mata should still have a place at the club, something that may be affirmed by a start on Sunday.
Wayne Rooney – United’s captain will hope to flourish in a new star-studded team.
Robin van Persie – Van Persie will be looking to really kick-start his 2014-15 campaign after a slow start.
Should the Dutch manager continue with three at the back then the above team is a likely set-up, but he could equally go for a four-man defence, something that may see Tyler Blackett drop out and potentially Adnan Januzaj or Falcao come in to the starting XI.
