Manchester United players thank fans after QPR win

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United’s 4-0 win over QPR yesterday has lifted spirits amongst fans and players alike.

After a tough start to the season that saw United go without a win in their first four games including a 4-0 defeat to MK Dons, United needed a performance to inject some confidence back into the side and that came yesterday.

On the day there were lots of great performances from the likes of Angel di Maria, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera. Given how many players were making their Old Trafford debut, it made the performance all the more impressive.

Some of the players took their time to thank the fans following the win:

“A very nice debut a top atmosphere and a great team performance #MUFC #Theatreofdreams”

Falcao also thanked the fans for his warm welcome to the club.

“I am very happy for this victory and the support was great,” he said. “I want to continue that way. I want to say thank you to the fans and I enjoyed that a lot, this match. It was fantastic. I almost scored. The goalkeeper was good. I hope to score the next game.

“It felt good to make my debut here at Old Trafford and I am happy to get the win. I am enjoying this moment. It is an extraordinary stadium, a legendary stadium. Bit by bit, we will gel together as a team and the new players will feel more comfortable. I hope everything continues for us like it has.”
