Javier Hernandez opened up his Real Madrid goalscoring account by rifling home a stunning volley with his left foot that gave the goalkeeper absolutely no chance.
For a player who looked so wickedly bereft of confidence in a Manchester United shirt, it’s fantastic to see him score such a fantastic finish so early on in his loan spell at Madrid.

Confidence is everything for a footballer and Hernandez’s goals today proved that. Hopefully they are the first of many for him in Spain.
