Juan Mata may have had to settle for a place on the bench against Leicester City last week and David de Gea conceded five goals, but it hasn’t dampened their spirits ahead of the West Ham game.
The pair were in good spirits at training this week despite the loss to Leicester City and will be eager to both start today.
While De Gea is certain to start, Mata may well have to settle for another place on the bench if Louis van Gaal decides to start Wayne Rooney in behind Van Persie and Falcao again.
Manchester United have now got a serious Spanish speaking contingency at the club after this summer with the likes of Mata, De Gea, Rojo, Herrera, Falcao and Di Maria, to point where Rooney joked by saying Spanish had become the main language in the dressing room.
Either way, it’s good to see that morale in the camp hasn’t been hit by the loss to Leicester and hopefully United can bounce straight back with a win.
