Ander Herrera is refusing to be downbeat after news he has fractured a rib was confirmed by Manchester United.
The Spaniard was in visible pain as he walked off against West Ham clutching his back and he’ll now be out of action for a few weeks until he can fully recover.
This is the second injury Herrera has had already this season as he previously injured his ankle in training before making a return in September.
Herrera is now likely to miss United’s next three games against Everton, West Brom and Chelsea but despite the bad news, he is remaining positive.
A real shame this injury, but now's not the time to feel sorry for myself. I'm already working to be back as soon as possible!

Herrera seems to have been struck with the United curse when it comes to injuries and it is a bitter blow given how well he had played during September.
One positive to take from this is how well Herrera recovered from his ankle injury after returning so hopefully he can do precisely the same thing when he regains his match fitness this time as well.
