The hearts of Manchester United fans’ sank when Kevin Nolan prodded home a cross late on in the game against west Ham this weekend.
Nolan looked to have given West Ham an equaliser on Sunday, but that feeling was quickly replaced by joy when the linesman put up his flag.
Offside, no goal.
However, the linesman didn’t put his flag up quick enough to stop the travelling West Ham fans from celebrating the disallowed goal first. For them, it was jubilation to frustration within the space of a few seconds.
At that stage in the game, not conceding a goal was just as important as scoring so it was no surprise that the home crowd poked a bit of fun at the travelling West Ham fans.
It was all in good spirit…right?
