Robin van Persie and Daley Blind were very happy to take three points away from the game against West Ham and were taken aback by how great Old Trafford’s atmosphere was.
After Wayne Rooney‘s red card, the atmosphere inside Old Trafford changed as United were no longer in control and West Ham went on the offensive.
For 30 minutes, United’s defence stayed strong despite the barrage of attacks and the best moment towards the latter stages of the game came when there was a deafening roar after Kevin Nolan’s equaliser was rightly ruled out for offside.
Van Persie has experienced atmospheres like that at Old Trafford on more than one occasion in his career so far but for Blind, it was one of the first experiences he a really electric atmosphere inside the ground.

“Great win today! Important 3 points, fight as a team! Amazing atmosphere #MUFC”
There’ll be plenty more cracking atmospheres at Old Trafford this season, starting with the visit of Everton this weekend for what is sure to be an entertaining game.
