Van Persie feels Man United’s attack will now frighten opponents

by Sam Peoples

Robin van Persie believes Manchester United now have the attacking qualities to frighten teams this season.

After the arrival of Radamel Falcao and Angel di Maria, United boast a plethora of world class players in attack with Falcao, Van Persie, Di Maria and Rooney leading the line.

There have been goals aplenty this season already and Van Persie is confident there will be more to come.

“I think we can be able to actually do that [frighten opponents],” Van Persie said.

“If you look at these players, they are great players in their individual way. But now we are working together on this project and I think games like winning 4-0 against QPR help.

“We had a setback against Leicester, but to win in the circumstances that we did at the weekend, when we ended up 10 v 11, it sends a message and shows that even in these difficult games we can win. Now we have to extend that.”

Given that Falcao hasn’t scored his first United goal and isn’t fully match fit, neither is Van Persie, then it makes the possibility of what could happen this season even more exciting.

If Falcao, Van Persie, Rooney and Di Maria can all start singing from the same hymn sheet, there won’t be (m)any teams who will be able to stop United from scoring.
