Ben Pearson and Josh Harrop have both been named in an England Under-20s squad for a mini-tournament in the Netherlands in October.
The tournament will see England start against Germany in what is likely to be a tough encounter as it always is with the Germans.
Pearson has been a regular throughout England’s younger sides but for Harrop it is a major stepping stone in his career.
Harrop only made his breakthrough into United’s Under-21s side this year so for him to now be away on international duty with England is fantastic news.
There were fears Harrop would miss out on his opportunity with the England side as he had to go off before half-time against Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-21s with an injury, but he has recovered in time to be part of the Under-20s squad.
