England accidentally say Welbeck is still a Man United player

The FA didn’t seem to get the memo that Danny Welbeck left Manchester United and joined Arsenal in the summer.

On the official press release for today’s England squad announcement, Welbeck was written down as a United player.

Welbeck might always be a United player at heart but that ship has now sailed, someone should tell the editorial staff over at England HQ.

Taxi for England.

As for actual United players, Wayne Rooney is the only representative in the squad. When was the last time England only had one player in the England squad?

United’s representation in the England squad has been ravaged by injuries as the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling would have been called up had they been fully fit.

Unfortunately for Tyler Blackett, there is no place for him at any level with England which is a surprise given how well he has performed so far this season.
