James Wilson allays injury fears by taking part in Man United’s first team training

James Wilson took part in training with Manchester United to allay fears he had suffered another injury.

The 18-year-old was taken off at half-time against Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-21s earlier this week in a planned substitution but looked in some discomfort just beforehand after awkwardly landing on his ankle.

Reports suggested Wilson suffered an injury but he was with the first-team for training this week which is great news.

Wilson has battled against injury for the past 12 months and has already suffered a broken finger among other niggling injuries this season. The constant injuries haven’t halted Wilson’s progression into the first team squad but it would be good for him to have a strong run of games without injury.

Keen followers of the academy sides feel Wilson could very much follow in the same footsteps as Adnan Januzaj at United but he needs a good injury free period to help make that happen.
