Park Ji Sung is overjoyed at being part of Manchester United once again after being asked to become a world ambassador for the club.
Having spent seven years with United, Park is a real fans’ favourite and his return to the club has been met with nothing but positivity from fans who are glad to see him back involved at Old Trafford.
“I’m very happy to be back,” Park told ManUtd.com.
“I got very used to Manchester – its atmosphere, its weather – when I played here so it’s very familiar to me. I felt very comfortable when I got off the train today.
“I thought my relationship with Manchester United was finished because it’s a huge club and I am just one of the many players who come in, play here and then leave. So when the club asked me to become an ambassador, I couldn’t believe it but of course, I was happy to accept. It’s a huge, huge honour for me.”
“There are all kinds of reasons [why Asian fans love United]. The great history, the level of football… Manchester United can touch your heart. That’s why Asian people love the club. I’m looking forward to seeing them and fans from all over the world again as a club ambassador.
Park always gave his all in every game he played for United and he was the consummate professional, so it’s fantastic that United are bringing him back to keep him in touch with the club.
Park will walk onto the pitch at Old Trafford tomorrow alongside Sir Alex Ferguson who will make his first appearance since he retired as United manager.
