David de Gea took part in Spain’s training session ahead of their Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovakia later today.
The pictures of De Gea at full stretch are apt after the weekend he had in goal for Manchester United where his goalkeeping heroics earned United a vital three points.
As we discussed earlier this week, De Gea could finally be given his full competitive Spain debut by Vicente Del Bosque if he chooses to start him ahead of Iker Casillas.
It would be a bold decision from the Spain boss based on Casillas’ record but if he picks players who are in-form, he can’t possibly overlook De Gea who is red hot right now.
De Gea’s progression since his shaky start at United seems to know no limits and you do have to pinch yourself when you realise he is still just 23.
Del Bosque might be waiting for the right time to give De Gea his debut there is no time like the present.
