De Gea would like Ronaldo at Man United and praises Di Maria and Falcao

David de Gea would love to see Cristiano Ronaldo join Manchester United this summer but knows it would be a difficult move to complete.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes poured cold water on the rumours after insisting the Portuguese winger will retire at Real Madrid and is happy in the Spanish capital.

Despite that, De Gea would like to see Ronaldo move back to Old Trafford on a permanent basis: “Of course I would like Cristiano Ronaldo to come to Manchester United,” De Gea told Goal.com. “But I think it’s difficult.”

De Gea is right – it would certainly be difficult to lure the current Ballon d’Or holder away from the current UEFA Champions League holders, but nothing is impossible.

As well as discussing Ronaldo, De Gea praised the early performances of Angel di Maria and Radamel Falcao: “They have adapted quickly, both scoring and supplying assists,” he added.

“They will make us better as everybody knows how well they did in Spain [with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid respectively].

“I hope they score a lot of goals for Manchester United.” deal last year. so I don’t really think so.”

Could a front three of Di Maria, Ronaldo and Falcao ever happen at United? Surely not…
