Louis van Gaal explains Radamel Falcao omission against West Brom

Radamel Falcao has been left on the bench for Manchester United against West Brom tonight after enduring a busy international break with Colombia.

Given that Falcao enjoyed a strong international break after scoring in both games, although one was disallowed, many fans expected to see him start alongside Robin van Persie but if he does play it will be from the bench.

“Falcao was overseas in South America + the jetlag is a big reason,” Van Gaal explained to Sky Sports.

Adnan Januzaj has come into the starting XI in place of Falcao but when questioned about what formation United were going to play against West Brom, the Dutchman remained tight lipped and didn’t give anything away.

It’s a big opportunity for Januzaj in his first start under Van Gaal and it will be exciting to see how the young Belgian plays in what will be a tough game away to West Brom.
