Manchester United and West Bromwich Albion played out an enthralling 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns in Louis van Gaal‘s side’s first game in 15 days since the 2-1 victory against Everton.
It was a frustrating but familiar story for van Gaal’s men, the passing and attacking play looked confident for the most part but two defensive errors allowed the hosts to get the goals they needed for a point.
Stephane Sessegnon put West Brom ahead before Marouane Fellaini had an instant impact after replacing Ander Herrera at half-time. The Belgian rasping a shot into the top corner for his first goal for the club.
But more defensive frailties allowed the in form Saido Berahino to put West Brom back in the lead and it was left to Daley Blind to rescue a point for the away side. His low shot was curled with ease into the bottom corner and despite pressing for a winner, Manchester United walked away with a point.
