David de Gea – First name on the team-sheet nowadays.
Rafael – After two strong performances in his last two appearances, Rafael will be hoping for more of the same against West Brom.
Marcos Rojo – The only centre-back who is certain to play.
Phil Jones – Tough one to predict as it depends on his fitness. If Jones wasn’t fit, Smalling could play but there is no guarantee he’d be fit either. Tom Thorpe is in contention to start as well.
Luke Shaw – Starting to grow into his new club and will be buoyed by success with England’s U21s during the international break.
Daley Blind – Very important that Blind starts for Manchester United in midfield.
Ander Herrera – Won’t complete the full 90 minutes but should start if he is ready.
Angel di Maria – Next.
Juan Mata – Needs to improve on his performance against Everton. Needs to be more influential.
Radamel Falcao – Had a strong international break with Colombia and is looking to make it two goals in two appearances with United.
Robin van Persie – Had a poor international break with Holland and is looking to improve at United. Two strikers who are both approaching the game from a different perspective.
