All three of Manchester United’s strikers regularly polarise opinion but there was no hiding away from the dismal performance put in by Robin van Persie against West Bromwich Albion.
Bar one effort that hit the post, Van Persie was largely anonymous throughout and struggled to get himself into the game.
The striker’s case hasn’t been helped by the popularity of new signing Radamel Falcao and supporters across Twitter were baffled as to why the Colombian had been resigned to the bench.
Falcao may have been away on international duty, and that was the reason cited by Louis van Gaal, but he may well still have been a better option than Van Persie.
Adnan Januzaj poor but what of Robin van Persie? His new trick of making himself invisible for large periods not contributing much so far.

The more I watch van Persie the more I'm getting infuriated. He's just walking about and doesn't look like he gives a rats arse. WAKE UP.

The theory at the start of the season was that Van Persie would get better as the season went on.
Burned out from the World Cup, the Dutchman was left out of United’s first game but has struggled to get up to pace despite goals against Leicester City and West Ham United.
With Chelsea and Manchester City on the horizon, United supporters were under no illusions as to who should start up front against the title challengers.
Falcao needs to start up front on his own against Chelsea, RVP on the periphery AGAIN. For United and the National team. Annoying.

Really has been a depressing watch this… Cant understand starting Falcao on the bench with RVP up front alone. #MUFC Easy for me to say
