The Spaniard has been a bit of a revelation in midfield alongside Daley Blind and Angel di Maria with his tenacious style, incisive passing and eye for goal.
Andreas Pereira chose Angel di Maria has the player who has impressed him the most but obviously it isn’t just on the pitch where Herrera puts the hard work in: “I’ve always been very impressed by Ander Herrera whenever I’ve trained with him since he came in,” Keane told ManUtd.com.
“”I’ve played in his team in games quite a bit and he gets stuck in but, for me, as a striker, he assists me a lot. He is always feeding me good passes. He’s very good in training and is technically very good. I’ve certainly been impressed by him.”
Herrera’s goals from midfield have been a breath of fresh air this season as United have lacked goals from midfield since Paul Scholes’ retirement and that’s something else he has been doing in training as well.
He added: “It’s difficult to say [who has scored the best goal in training] but probably Herrera again.
“He’s scored a few good goals. We play quite a few 11-a-side games and he’s hit some nice goals, shaped into the top corner from the edge of the box. So probably him, to be honest.”
Herrera is an injury concern for United ahead of the Chelsea game this weekend but fans are hoping he has enough time to fully recover from his rib injury because United really need to be at full strength.
