Timothy Fosu-Mensah helped Holland’s U17s side this week to qualification for the upcoming U17 European Championships.
Fosu-Mensah played all three matches in defence as Holland qualified without conceding a goal against Serbia, Malta and Finland.
The 17-year-old defender joined Manchester United from Ajax this summer and although he is yet to make his debut for the U18s, Paul McGuinness is looking forward to seeing him in action.
“Timothy is still waiting for international clearance but he looks a really mature and talented player,” McGuinness said earlier this month.
“He covers the ground well and I think he can make a big impact at our level. He can play in a number of positions – centre-back, midfield or full-back, so I think he’s another good, adaptable and highly-talented player.”

With United’s U18s back in action in November, it is hoped Fosu-Mensah will be given his international clearance in time to make his debut as excitement is growing about getting to see what he can do in a United shirt.
