Adnan Januzaj was given his second Manchester United of the season and his second in a row as the home side played out a 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea.
Januzaj was more influential than he was on Monday night but the conviction that Januzaj had last season was lacking from his game once again against Chelsea.
The young Belgian winger was lively, regularly turning his defenders inside and out and almost set up Van Persie to put Louis van Gaal‘s side in front after a lovely through ball put the striker in.
A combination of lively runs, crosses but all round lack of end product didn’t change opinion of Januzaj’s performance among fans on social media after the match.
Januzaj having his best game in a while. Fellaini looks transformed after last week’s goal. Di Maria & Mata a bit disappointing. #MUFC

Thought the way Januzaj and Shaw linked up on the left was tremendous today. If they keep working on that, could be a special partnership

Januzaj was our best today. Always looked likely to create something. Had an advantage over bot Ivanovic and Luis. Brilliant to see!

As for Luke Shaw and Adnan Januzaj, the stick they were given on Monday night was tough, overly harsh. They were fantastic today. Fantastic.

Fellaini was absolutely amazing today and Januzaj also brilliant

With a return to a diamond formation likely against Manchester City given the return of Wayne Rooney, Januzaj may see himself back on the bench despite a bright performance but he’s certainly given his manager something to think about.
After a frustrating start to the season where the winger was resigned to substitute appearances, Januzaj has thrown his hat into the ring for a regular starting appearance if and when Louis van Gaal chooses to operate with wingers.<
