After an impressive performance against West Bromwich Albion on Monday night, Marouane Fellaini was once again one of Manchester United’s better players in the 1-1 draw at home to Chelsea.
Fellaini had looked a shadow of his Everton self last season but has looked a much more confident player since his first goal for the club arrived at The Hawthorns.
The Belgian midfielder was strong in the tackle, passed with accuracy and was denied a late equaliser by Thibaut Courtois before Robin van Persie lashed home the rebound.
Despite criticism from several directions for Fellaini over the past 12 months, he was praised all round for his performance against the league leaders.
Fellaini was for me MOTM once again. Stepping it up each game. Gaining in confidence which is nice to see. #mufc

Fellaini earning himself a start v City too. Who would have thought that at the start of the season. Huge credit to him.

Fellaini was impressive for the 2nd game in a row, he was my MOTM today. What an incredible save from De Gea to deny Hazard.

Big credit to Marouane Fellaini. He did an excellent job today covering Fàbregas and recovering balls. He's improving.

It’s quite a turnaround for the former Everton man given his name on the team sheet was regularly met with derision from Manchester United fans throughout the 2013/14 season.
With the Manchester derby looming on the horizon, Marouane Fellaini may just have surprised everyone and booked himself a starting berth in a big game once again.
