Robin van Persie did what all good strikers do and popped up with a crucial goal at a crucial moment to salvage a point for Manchester United after a hard-fought match against league leaders Chelsea.
The Dutchman was on the edge of the six yard box in the 94th minute to smash home an equaliser that United richly deserved.
The ensuing celebration saw van Persie get caught underneath a pile of his team mates as Old Trafford erupted for a ‘Fergie time’ goal that has been all to rare in the past 12 months.
Prior to scoring, Van Persie had been quiet once and wasn’t doing much to silence his critics but fans were quick to pour compliments on the striker after saving a point that Louis van Gaal‘s side deserved.
Just said how worrying it was about Van Persie disappearance and BOOM! He and WE needed that so badly

United fans will hope the goal and subsequent celebration is a turning point for Van Persie after a string of frustrating and disinterested performances from the man who guided the club to their 20th league title in 2013.
The last minute goal gives Louis van Gaal a difficult decision ahead of the upcoming Manchester derby. With Wayne Rooney back from suspension and Radamel Falcao expected to be fit, it could be Juan Mata who drops out of the team to face the champions.
