Chelsea may have been the biggest game of the season so far but away to Manchester City is a different ballpark altogether.
Manchester United will be coming into the game off the back of a confidence boosting 1-1 draw against Chelsea and are only four points behind City, so a win would take them in touching distance of second place.
However, reports of an injury to Wayne Rooney have compiled the misery from Radamel Falcao also being a doubt for the game with a calf problem – so how could United line up if neither played?
Robin van Persie would be the only fit senior striker once again and United would carry across most of the team who drew against Chelsea but in this formation, Juan Mata has been dropped in favour of Ander Herrera to give United a little bit more solidarity in midfield.
Overall, it’s a formation which would rely on the creativity of Angel di Maria to bring the spark.
Do you think a team without Rooney, Falcao or Mata could beat Manchester City in the Etihad Stadium?
