Wayne Rooney has taken to his official Facebook page to help build excitement ahead of the Manchester derby.
The 29-year-old has missed United’s last three games due to injury but could be back in action this weekend if he is not ruled out with a foot injury.
Current reports suggest Rooney will be able to return to action this weekend and given that he is the all-time highest goalscorer in derby games, Louis van Gaal will certainly want him back in the side.
Juan Mata has failed to take his opportunities in the absence of Rooney and the Englishman will walk straight back into the starting XI when he is fit.
If he and Radamel Falcao are passed fit to play then an attacking trio of Rooney, Falcao and Van Persie could cause City all sorts of trouble at the Etihad on Sunday.
