Here is the latest Manchester United chat from around the web including reports that Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Radamel Falcao for £44m after his loan deal ends and the latest on Wayne Rooney‘s fitness.
Falcao’s loan deal with United was a very smart move by Louis van Gaal. It brought one of the world’s best strikers to the club with a safety net because of his serious injury last year. If it flared up, United wouldn’t have already spent upwards of £40m signing him.
Now, reports are suggesting a £44m deal has already been agreed to sign Falcao on a permanent basis after his loan spell ends. Back at the start of October, The Mirror said Falcao had agreed personal terms and the latest reports are a follow on from this.
At this stage, there’s absolutely no need for United to agree any deal until Falcao has proved his fitness and goalscoring ability haven’t dwindled since his injury.
Elsewhere, the latest on Wayne Rooney from GiveMeSport is that he will be fit for the Manchester derby this weekend. GiveMeSport has very close ties to Rooney and has had plenty of exclusives from him in the past. They are also heavily involved with his management as they are part of his Facebook page, so there is every chance their information is good.
Outside of the news, this fantastic longform piece from Adam Crafton on David de Gea gives some fantastic background information into United’s No.1. Did you know De Gea used to be a striker?
