Predicted XI: Manchester City vs Manchester United – Rooney returns

David de Gea No.1 in goal and No.1 on the team sheet. Comes into the game after being named Manchester United’s October Player of the Month

Rafael – Been consistent in his past few performances and needs to bring his A-game to the Etihad.

Chris Smalling Reassuringly good against Chelsea last weekend but faces the daunting task of stopping Sergio Aguero.

Marcos Rojo Has been hot and cold at centre-back but is where he is likely to play in the long-term so needs to continue.

Luke Shaw Best performance in a United shirt was against Chelsea and needs to do the same again. Will have a tough game up against the bombarding Pablo Zabaleta.

Daley Blind Will be crucial in protecting the back four and stopping Yaya Toure from having a free reign in the middle.

Angel di Maria – A lot of United’s hopes pin on Di Maria and his ability to both create chances and finish them himself.

Ander Herrera If he’s fit to return, Herrera plays. United have missed his passing linking midfield and attack as well as his energy.

Wayne Rooney Rooney’s back and United need him to be as deadly against City as he usually is.

Adnan Januzaj – Radamel Falcao is out and after his performance against Chelsea, should get the nod.

Robin van Persie – Coming into the game on a high from his goal last weekend. Will there be another injury time winner from the Dutchman? Here’s hoping.
