Sir Alex meets Falcao for the first time at Manchester derby

Radamel Falcao might not have been fit to play for Manchester United in the derby today but he was in the stadium alongside Andreas Pereira to watch from the crowd.

Alongside him was Sir Alex Ferguson and it was great to see the pair share a handshake before kick-off.

Sir Alex bought his fair share of big name signings to Old Trafford with the likes of Robin van Persie, Juan Sebastian Veron and Rio Ferdinand, and Louis van Gaal has followed suit this year.

Angel di Maria, Radamel Falcao, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo and Ander Herrera joined in an unprecedented summer of activity that saw £150m spent in a single transfer window to help shape a new look Van Gaal side.

Unfortunately, Falcao is currently injured but it is still hoped that when he can find his feet he will be able to re-find his goalscoring best.
