Nani continued his purple patch with another goal and assist last night in Sporting Lisbon’s 3-1 victory over Schalke in the UEFA Champions League.
The 27-year-old now has six goals and three assists in all competitions for Sporting and has been one of their stand-out players this season, to the point where he was voted as currently the best player in the Portuguese League.
It’s been a very impressive start to the campaign for Nani and when you consider Manchester United are still paying all of his wages, it certainly looks like a great coup for Sporting.
Here is Nani’s goal after some great work by Sporting’s winger to put it on a plate for him:
Earlier this week Nani discussed his future and admitted he was happy to leave United if he wasn’t wanted but form like this won’t simply be overlooked by Louis van Gaal.
What Nani’s loan spell is currently doing is bringing the best out of him which will either put his price tag in the shop window up or see him force his way back to United if he deserves it, so it is a win win situation either way.
