Rafael has confirmed on his official Instagram account that he is back in training with Manchester United.
The Brazilian has been missing due to a training ground injury he sustained before the Manchester City game and ahead of a trip to Arsenal next weekend, it’s a timely boost for Louis van Gaal‘s squad.
Antonio Valencia filled in at right-back in his absence and although he wasn’t bad against Crystal Palace, it was his poor positioning which contributed to Chris Smalling‘s reckless lunge as he left so much space behind him.
Without question, Rafael is United’s No.1 choice right-back and to have him back against an Arsenal side who are without doubt going to pose more attacking threat than Crystal Palace.
“Back in training,” Rafael confirmed.
