Luke Shaw was substituted by Roy Hodgson in the closing stages of England’s game against Scotland and looked uncomfortable after a tough game.
The 19-year-old endured a physical game and had to receive treatment at one stage after receiving a knock from Steven Naismith from which he was able to play on.
However, the concern surrounds reports which Shaw went into the international break with a minor groin problem which, if true, poses the question as to why he played against Scotland in what was nothing more than an exhibition fixture.
Injuries have cursed Manchester United’s season so far and this international break has only compounded their problems with Daley Blind suffering medial knee ligament damage as well as David de Gea and Michael Carrick suffering problems.
Shaw has already had a lot of injury issues this season but has been impressive in his last few performances for United, so hopefully he will be fit to face Arsenal on Saturday.
