Radamel Falcao is in contention to make his return for Manchester United in tomorrow’s game against Hull City.
Louis van Gaal didn’t go as far as to guarantee Falcao’s inclusion in the squad but having taken part in full training this week, Falcao is closing on in his comeback.
Van Gaal wants to wait until after training this afternoon to decide whether to include Falcao in his squad to face Hull.
“I have to train the last session and I live day by day at this moment,” he said.
“So maybe Falcao can come back in the 18 [matchday squad], maybe Rojo can come back in the 18. That’s it I think.”
With Robin van Persie desperately out of form, United fans are eager to see Falcao back as soon as possible because the attack has looked rather blunt in his absence.
United have missed Falcao’s general hold up play and movement up front as Van Persie has become rather pedestrian. In an isolated position in attack, Van Persie has been very poor.
If Falcao doesn’t pass his last fitness test this afternoon at training, James Wilson could be in line to make his first start under Van Gaal and after a few good cameo appearances, he’ll be ready to grasp every opportunity he is given.
