Wayne Rooney is raring to go ahead of the visit of Hull City to Old Trafford this weekend.
The captain posted an image on his Instagram account from the team’s final training sessions before the match and there’s no doubt Rooney will once again be at the forefront of United’s attack given his recent performances.
Rooney returned in the Manchester derby after missing three games through suspension and this will be just his second Old Trafford appearance since September.
The striker was in good form for England over the international break and hit the winner against Arsenal last week after another influential and energetic performance.
The 29-year old has saved some of his best form for Hull in recent years. He helped United come from 2-0 down at the KC in January by setting up the first goal before volleying home an unstoppable shot to draw United level.
In 2010, Rooney scored four goals in one game as United won 4-0 at Old Trafford, the only time the United captain has scored four goals in a game for the club.
Supporters will be hoping for more of the same this weekend.
