Ander Herrera made a welcome return to the Manchester United first team against Hull City and immediately showed the supporters inside Old Trafford why he’s been missed so much.
Herrera was incisive with his passing, immediately forming a link with Juan Mata and driving the team forward with his one touch passes and movement.
A couple of long-range efforts could well have been goal bound had it not been for the Hull City defenders but all round it was a fantastic performance from the little Spaniard.
Since picking up a rib injury against West Ham in September, Herrera had appeared for just 45 minutes against West Brom before returning today and fans were purring over his performance.
Ander Herrera MOTM for me.

Today confirms Herrera as being the best performer of our summer signings. Only had one bad game (West Brom).

Herrera's been player-maker behind Hulls unpinning today. Since coming on, hasn't put a foot wrong. Would like to see his pass stats! #mufc

Ander Herrera has been so good, hasn't put a foot wrong since he came on. He needs to start the next game.

It seems with Angel Di Maria out of Stoke City’s visit to Old Trafford on Tuesday night that Herrera’s performance has all but guaranteed him a spot in the first eleven against the Potters.
Alongside Michael Carrick, the pair controlled the midfield battle and if the Spaniard can keep up such form, he’ll become a crucial part of United’s team for years to come.
