Radamel Falcao robbed of second Man Utd goal but makes positive return

by Richard Laverty

Ander Herrera and Marcos Rojo weren’t the only stars to return from injury against Hull City as the ever-popular Radamel Falcao replaced Robin van Persie for half an hour on his return to action.

Like Herrera, Falcao hasn’t appeared for United since the 2-2 draw against West Brom and with Robin van Persie‘s performance still under scrutiny, Falcao’s return will be more welcomed than ever.

‘El Tigre’ has become quite the fan favourite at Old Trafford and was robbed of his second goal for the club when Michael Dawson made a fantastic goal line clearance.

The striker worked hard and put a shift in and appeared eager to impress upon his return to action and win himself a spot in the starting line-up against Stoke City on Tuesday night.

Van Persie may have found the net but he still appeared far from top form and with two games in such close proximity, Falcao could find himself fast-tracked into the starting line-up if there are no questions over his fitness after his return.

James Wilson‘s apparent injury has also come at a good time for Falcao with the young striker knocking at the door for a first team start after a string of impressive performances for the U21s and regular cameos in the first team.
