Victor Valdes is now back training with Manchester United and will soon be ready to play football after overcoming his injury problems.
The Spanish goalkeeper was invited to Carrington by Louis van Gaal in order for him to rehabilitate an injury and work his way back to full fitness.
There were suggestions in the press recently that Valdes had left United but his agent Gines Carvajal has now confirmed he is back in training.
“Victor is still training in Manchester. Very soon he will be playing again,” he said.
Up until this point, Valdes concentrated on individual fitness work but it sounds like he will soon be ready to take part in full training with the squad.
At this stage, there is no official confirmation on whether Van Gaal will offer Valdes a contract but as Anders Lindegaard is likely to leave in the summer, United are going to need a new back-up goalkeeper.
