Fellaini continues to impress Man Utd fans with improved performances

by Richard Laverty

Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini continued his good form by scoring his second goal for the club in the win over Stoke City, his first in the league at Old Trafford.

Whilst it wasn’t Fellaini’s finest performance of late, his goal set United on their way to a fourth straight win which sees them solidify their spot in the top four.

The Belgian appeared to tweak a muscle in his neck and his loss of possession as a result led to Stoke’s equaliser. His overall contribution in the second half lowered as he lost the ball on several occasions and at times looked tired.

But given his recent run of good form and his first Old Trafford goal, supporters were mainly positive of his performance throughout the match.

Fellaini has now started five matches in a row since coming on against West Brom and has played well in all of them, not something any supporter expected this season but a pleasant surprise and a much needed one given Daley Blind‘s long-term absence.
