Rumours continue to link Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus with a move abroad at the end of this season and Manchester United are one of the many top teams constantly linked with the attacker.
It was reported just yesterday in Germany that United were competing with the likes of Man City, Real Madrid and Barcelona for his signature and with Dortmund currently sat bottom of the Bundesliga, Reus may have no choice but to leave if things don’t improve.
Louis van Gaal signed a world class winger in Angel Di Maria during the summer but the manager has had to make do with Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia as alternate options whilst promising youngster Adnan Januzaj has been on the periphery so far this season.
With Di Maria’s ability to play on the right wing or through the middle, Reus would slot in with ease to United’s team as a left winger capable of cutting in and adding plenty of goals to the side.
Alongside influential captain Wayne Rooney and for once strong central midfield options sitting deep, the potential for a devastating attack including all three of Reus, Rooney, Di Maria behind one of van Persie, Falcao or James Wilson would whet the appetite of any supporter inside Old Trafford.
However, the chances of Reus coming to the club are unknown given the strong competition United would face for his signature and Reus could still decide to stay in Germany and follow in the footsteps of Mario Goetze and Robert Lewandowski by joining bitter rivals Bayern Munich.
